06 Sep Sunday West Palm Update
We had a great start to the weekend and hope to keep it going today. We had more people through yesterday than in 4 entire shows our first year. We’ve now had 28 shows, and yesterday was our 5th best-attended Saturday — and we’re doing that in September. None of this growth happens without you, so thank you for being part of it.
A few housekeeping items:
Janie has been granted an most-expenses-paid vacation to the tropical paradise known as Brimfield. She’s leaving early today, so please settle up with her by 3:00 pm.
Now, let’s talk about last-minute cancellations and no-shows — this month it cost the show about $6,000. That’s not a small number, and it’s money that comes straight out of what makes this show sustainable. So, as previously communicated, starting in November, booths need to be pre-paid. No exceptions, no more working around it. Most of you already pay ahead, and we genuinely appreciate that — but the folks who don’t are putting the whole show at risk. If that’s you, come see Janie today. We’ll work with you, but this has to change.
We’ll be selling out shortly, and open spaces will go to dealers who are pre-paid. Next month’s show is already 50 spaces bigger than this one, so let’s finally put the cancel/no-show/no-pay problem to bed.
